How to setup an eCommerce website using opencart

Following are the steps for installing opencart on your website.

1.Create a folder in your server , or even you can upload to your root folder

2. Now download the opencart files from opencart.com

3. Extract the files to required folder

4. Create your DB , DB user and assign permissions thru cpanel. Note down the DB details

5. Rename config-dist.php to config.php in root folder and admin folder

Now got to your domain or domain/folder and complete the steps , here it will ask for DB details which is created in earlier step

6. Move your data folder which will be prompted as part of installation wizard.

7. Remove the ‘install’ folder once installation is complete.

8. You can access your backend by going to domain/admin and providing the password given in installation wizard.
