Eiffel tower tour guide – trip from Bangalore

Hope you have read our Day 1 Paris . Our second day in Paris started with free breakfast at hotel Virgina. We are very excited to see one of the world wonder – Eiffel tower. We have already booked the ‘skip  line’ tickets for Eiffel tower tour thru the agency named Paris City Vision. We need to reach the common meeting point in this case it was paris city vision office. We have checked the station name and location in advance . It was very easy to reach the Paris City Vision office , which was located very near to the metro station – tuileries . This station was just next to the station we got down yesterday for Louvre museum.  This tour includes half day Paris city tour too.

On this non-stop city tour, we can view the major monuments of Paris, the bridges that rise over the Seine and the museums that house all of the city’s cultural and artistic riches.

The tour passes before the great and symbolic tourist locations in the city: the Place Vendôme, the Place de l’Opéra Garnier, the Musée du Louvre, the Hôtel de Ville, Notre Dame de Paris cathedral, the Panthéon, the Musée d’Orsay, the Place de la Concorde, the Champs Elysées, the Arc de Triomphe, Eiffel Tower and Les Invalides in Paris.

End of the tour they will drop us at Eiffel tower and guide you to the entrance. We had the tickets to go up till the second floor where there are souvenir shops, restaurant etc.

Tip: Make sure you do a homework on how to reach the common meeting point so that you are not late, all the tours starts at scheduled time and they will not wait if we are late.

The view from the second floor was awesome, we enjoyed the bird eye view of paris city for some time and then visited first floor too.

After  Eiffel tower, we walked a lot in search of metro station nearby, we infact missed 2 stations which made us to walk a lot, but due to that we were able to take few good snaps of Eiffel tower from a bridge nearby.

Finally we find a metro station and we went back to our hotel room , freshen up a bit and decided to explore the city in bus. Using metro is fast but most of the metro goes underground so view is not that great.  As mentioned earlier same tickets can be used in buses too, so we took a bus from the nearby terminal and head towards Notre dame cathedral.

We had a glance of Notre dame cathedral during our morning city tour but couldn’t get down here. This  was an happening place with lots of street food .

After visiting Notre dame cathedral , we decided to have the pizza from the local pub, where people sit outside the restaurant and enjoy food. This was a nice experience and pizza was delicious.

We reached back hotel at around 10pm and my pedometer counted 14500 steps. Tomorrow we are going to Switzerland- one of our long awaited destination.
